What is EarthHero? It’s an online, eco-friendly shop where you can find all sorts of great products from ethical companies. And if you’ve ever spent hours researching and comparing products, trying to decide which is a better deal, or a better option for the environment, then you know how much time you could save if someone just gave you a list of options for easy comparison.
EarthHero has done the research and has compiled a catalog of eco-friendly products for every lifestyle. They’ve researched every aspect of sustainability of the products they offer. And they provide all that info on every product page on their site. For you and me, it’s as simple as scrolling down the page to check out not only the product, but the company that produces it.
And it doesn’t stop there. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, just tell them. They take suggestions and will research and curate (if they can) a sustainable option for whatever you’re looking for!

Wide Variety of Products
About EarthHeroEstablished in 2017, EarthHero is a small business based in the United States. Their goal is to curate a collection of products that are truly eco-freindly from the growing and sourcing of supplies through the products end-of-life.EarthHero is run by people, like their founder and CEO, Ryan Lewis. Let’s hear what he has to say:
There are more people, two of which I have spoken to (ok, fine, I emailed them, but one left me a voicemail too), Grace and Juliet. They were super helpful, but that’s not what this particular article is about (see my EarthHero Review for more info).
It’s about a great company that I couldn’t be more pleased to represent as an affiliate partner.
EarthHero is an online sustainable shopping site that gives you the tools to make an informed purchasing decision. OK, I know I sound like an economist or a marketer or something right now so let me break it down:
EarthHero does the research on the product, then they summarize all the benefits on a single product page with lots of easy to identify icons so that you and I can skim through and quickly decide if it’s right for us.
They include all the standard product info, plus all the sustainability info—what is it made from, what kind of packaging do they use, can it be recycled and how, all sorts of useful information.
If you know me, or you’ve read much of my blog, you know that I want to be a superhero when I grow up. I know, I know, it sounds like an impossible task requiring super-human strength or some epic mutation. But the thing is, all you really need to do to become a superhero is save the planet.
EarthHero has the same sort of idea and goals. They also think that by making earth-friendly choices, we can all be a hero.
Their slogan, “Choices makes changes,” is a simple, true statement that they live and lead by. EarthHero also commonly uses a phrase that I preach every day, “Vote with your dollar.” They know, like I do, that consumerism is the key.
As you can see, EarthHero and I have a lot in common. That’s why I shop there.
I’ll tell you more about my experience in my EarthHero Review, but first, I wanted to tell you how it all works.
Wide variety of products.
EarthHero offers an almost overwhelming variety of products. Which makes sense since their goal is to be a one-stop-shop for sustainable shopping.
They’ve got clothes for everyone—men, women, children, and babies. They’ve got camping gear and travel supplies, beauty products, household cleaning supplies … they’ve got your pets covered too. Then even have audio and tech products!
With so much to offer, it could get a little overwhelming. That’s why they organized the site for multiple ways of searching.
Search by product type.
As with most shopping sites, you can shop by product category:
- Clothing + Accessories
- Audio + Tech
- Beauty + Care
Pretty much all the basic options. This will help you find what you’re looking for in a way that is simple and familiar.
But they didn’t stop there.
Search by lifestyle.
You can also search for lifestyle goals, like Zero Waste. While zero waste is a menu option at the top, some other lifestyle searches are slightly more tricky.
If you select a category, let’s say, Oral Care (e.g. toothbrushes and dental floss), you can then filter by your preferred features:
- Plastic Free Packaging
- Renewable Resources
- Organic Ingredients
- Cruelty Free
- And more
Whether you’re going plastic-free, or just watching out for the animals you can find products that meet your lifestyle goals. After you read how they vet their partner brands (below), you should feel wonderfully comfortable using this search and filter option to shop in a way that you can feel good about.
Search by you.
Say what? Yes, search by you, meaning what kind of person are you? Whether you’re a pet owner, a mother, the outdoorsy sort, or a techy, you’ll find yourself on EarthHero.
The site is built to guide anyone to the products that are a good fit for them and will meet their goals.
- Baby + Kids
Search by goal.
If you’re looking for a gift or if you want to see what’s new or what’s on sale, EarthHero has built-in menu options for you too.
With all those search and filter options, the many products are easy to find.
EarthHero hand selects companies who are taking steps to improve the waste-driven production and manufacturing cycle we’re accustomed to.
They look at many factors and partner with the companies that are truly making a difference by:
Using better materials.
EarthHero looks for companies that use renewable resources, organic materials, or, better yet, upcycled and recycled materials. Things like:
- Organic Hemp
- Sustainably Harvested Wood
- Reclaimed Wood
- Upcycled Cotton
- Recycled Rubber
The list goes on, but you get the idea. Sustainable materials matter to EarthHero. They source products that use better materials that require fewer resources, energy, and water in their production.
They find products that either make use of the existing byproducts of traditional production, like recycled rubber, or they find products that have a better, less wasteful production process and ethical, sustainable harvesting practices.
